This is for real, Cherry Creek in California. I don't know where these guys get their bravery.

My river isn't quite high enough for boating yet, but the Poudre River here in Northern Colorado is cranking up for a great season.

It may be a thrill, but give me a chance to enjoy the scenery! Btw, I suspect they photo-shopped the kayaker! (I never did see the second pic.)

It wasn't photoshopped - the other kayakers already discussed that, and posted other pics from that river to prove it. The second pic is a movie clip of rafting on the Poudre River north of here, with slow dial-up on your end, no surprise you didn't see it.

I have always had a fear of falling out of a rubber raft, shooting down rapids, and cracking my skull open on jagged rocks.

Family reunion this summer, I might get a chance to go rafting on an easy stretch of water. I'll let you know how it goes.
