Anjelica Huston was in the house at the time the Polanski/Geimer events unfolded in 1977. The events took place during a photo shoot at Jack Nicholson’s house. Nicholson was not at home at the time. Huston said: (sic) she was 13 going on 25, sullen and provocative. In other words, a nymphet.

Since those days, Polanski has not been near any minors. His conduct was spurious because I believe he knew how old she was. However, he was attracted to her adult qualities not her junior ones. This does not make him a pedophile, but a misguided sexual predator, who, incidentally, has been squeaky clean ever since, hardly a pedophile’s profile.

The reason he fled is that the judge on his case was overheard saying that he was going to railroad him no matter what the facts were.

Today Geimer says, drop it already. But no one is listening. Instead righteous anger is being mobilized against him 30 years later.

Everyone deserves a fair trial with an impartial judge. Polanski learned he wasn't going to get one. I'd flee too.
