Solitaire came over on Saturday, using his GPS to find us. Ed wanted to give his own directions, so he did. Between the two, Randy found us. Much like his photo, there were no surprises, and we had a very pleasant lunch nearby and chatted away the afternoon. We sat outside so we could look at the water – everything on the island is on the water.

I played some Chopin for him, he took my picture and he took one of me and Ed. I am sorry I didn’t think to ask Ed to take one of us both. Randy appropriately oohed at the view. He and Ed had some history conversations. Ed showed him his Civil War officer’s portable desk. It is a rare item and when you lift the hinged blotter, there is a Colt weapon underneath with little powder horn and whatever else one needed to use the thing in the days before real technology.

When a friend knew I was meeting a blogger, she cautioned me about predators. = I told her blogger predators had to be really patient since most meetings only take place after a lot of reading and it is very difficult to weave a coherent and consistent lie through many posts that are not directed at any one person. All in all, the entire process is a lot more stable than the inane chatrooms one can frequent. Also, I didn’t think many bloggers are targeting seniors.

When Randy left us, he traveled north to meet with Dottie (Dragonflyby) and she posted a picture of the two of them right away. In any case I am really pleased he managed to get by.

Catdancer is due around the 16th. I am waiting for her call.
