A Day In The Life

Life & Events > Lost ...

Lost ...

Seems I have lost something and I am unable to find it at the moment.
The thing I have lost is very important to a healthy and happy life.
It is nothing really tangible, nothing you can hold in your hand, nothing you can see, just something you feel.
Something you hold in your heart.

Seems I realized not so long ago I have misplaced my PASSION.

I have nothing that I am passionate about right now, and I am kinda jealous of all of you that are feeling this wonderful feeling.

Passion can cover many areas in our life..
It can be love of art, music, or even work.
It can be the love for a spouse, children or family in general.
I don't think that I am depressed, maybe just got lazy in life. I don't know for sure.

I love my husband (although he drives me crazy most days..LOL) I love my sister and the rest of my extended family.
And my beautiful golden retriever Shadow.
Love them all.

However, there is that special thing missing that makes one whole....PASSION!!!

I read other blogs and realize that people are full of passion. Some I don't agree with others I do.
Some are looking for answers, some are giving them.

But the one thing they share is PASSION!!

I will keep looking for what I have lost..

Peace
Sybil

With age my Passion has turned to Compassion.
"Passion" means long suffering, and is very misused in our society.
"A compassionate person develops an eye for spotting the qualities that make each person special. Even when others are at their lowest ebb, it is possible to help them restore their self-belief by keeping a firm, clear vision of their goodness and specialties. Taking a gently encouraging approach, I must never give up on anyone." Especially myself...

When I get down, I turn to Jesus for answers.
Works for me.

I know what you mean. Once you've identified the problem, that's half the battle.

Hummmm... I am not sure. I mean, to me you seem like a "great" person. Of Anyone online, you'd be the last I'd say negative about. I don't know, but to me it seems you (in your heart) feel you "lost your purpose" somehow. Purpose/Passion,, you basically aren't having any fun (if I read you right).

Quote from you: "and I am kinda jealous of all of you that are feeling this wonderful feeling".

None of us really feel wonderful "Sybil".. We all got bills, all deal with parents, relatives, kids, government, and even our spouses.. Some just handle it better then others. So.. lol.. when someone says to you "life is wonderful", they are lying through their teeth!! .. lol. If they say it in "honesty, probably means they handle the CHIT better for the moment"..

So my thought is this... "Go do some things "You Really wanna do"! I'm not saying be disrespectful to your peeps (hubby, parents.. whoever).. but be you a little! I've always said (cause I believe) "Whether a Lion, or a tiny kitty", It will rebel when "caged" too long..

To condense.. get OUT, have FUN.. do that first, then figure something that will make you "passionate" on life. Ya gotta relax way before ya can sort that...

Luv ya... Gary

I never thought of or considered things as "passion", but yes I do agree. I too take my associations of family and closest friends for granted - my bad. I do have great passion for my fifth (current)career field, teaching various math and business classes at the junior college level; and of course my zeal for my religious ministry.

I take for granted the passion that I have for my husband, my kids, music, friends and family. It never occurs to me that I could loose it, but I suppose I could. Hoping you're able to find something to be passionate about soon.
Did you watch CSI last night? I can't believe Warick is gone
