I call myself a realist, a cynic, a pessimist--but deep down I always hope there is someone out there pure and (mostly) unblemished and good. Well, of course John Edwards blew that concept. Others have blogged about his infidelity, so I won't belabor the point.
Here in Mississippi, a native son, actor and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman a well respected and liked man was in a auto accident with his female paramour and was injured. The accident occurred near Freeman's home in Tallahatchie County. His wife has filed for divorce. On the "Rick and Bubba Show" Bubba commented "At least he wasn't driving Miss Daisy."
Now, staying up late with a painful arm, I got to watching the "Tori and Dean" show, and I am hooked. To begin with, both Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott were married to other people when they met. So they get divorced and marry and Tori got pregnant. They now have this cute little toddler, Liam, and Tori is pregnant again.
Tori amazed me by being 8 or 9 months along and still able to throw one leg over the arm of a chair. She is a spoiled rotten 35 year old girl/woman, but very appealing and vulnerable and sweet. Dean is very attentive to her despite their messy life of moving over and over and promoting her jewelry line on QVC and touring to promote her book--a book critical of her mother, Candy Spelling.
Tori often poignantly yearns for her mother, but the bond is broken and she is wistfully grateful for her own little family. She and Dean wrote a song together that is the cutest sweetest thing I've ever heard. I do hope they will always be happy there in Hollywoodland.
