Throw Me a Shoe!

The incident where two shoes were lobbed at George Bush has been played on newscasts over and over--I just wish the thrower had better aim and clipped GWB--a shoe making contact with that thick noggin would have been so satisfying!

On to better things--
I'm listening to a live broadcast on NPR now, where Obama is appointing his pick for Secretary of the Interior, and he talks of conservation, preservation, natural resources,
NATIVE AMERICANS (really!) farms and farmers--all concerns
that didn't matter a hoot to the cut it down, plow it up, burn it, drill it destructive attitude of your current president and his gang.

Obama is a saint in my eyes, the golden one, the promised, the yearned for, hoped for light for this country. I'm behind you all the way, Mr. President. I'm more googley eyed over him than Oprah Winfrey!

My local paper said the shoe thrower has been tortured in jail. That's outrageous.

Bush doesn't deserve any respect but the office of the Presidency does. It is bigger than any one man, thank goodness!!!

If anyone in a U.S. crowd had lobbed shoes at the president, he'd be in custody forever. We take those things seriously here. It's the lack of respect for the office that matters. There is an outcry to release the "journalist" -- his credentials were suspect. I think Bush should stay home now. Really.
