Segueing into Socialism

From the Random House College Dictionary:

CAPITALISM: An economic system where investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations.

COMMUNISM: A theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state. (2) A social system of organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled; state dominated by a totalitarian state dominated by a self perpetuating single political party.

SOCIALISM:A theory or system of social organization that advocates the ownership and control of industry, capital and land, etc. by the community as a whole. (2) In Marxist theory the stage following capitalism of a society into Communism.

WELL! After looking up those definitions, sounds for sure that if our government (and it will be blamed on Obama, though the skids were greased long ago) keeps on bailing out banks and investment companies and buying up mortgages and throwing money at failing automobile corporations and God knows whom ever and whatever else is going bankrupt, the United States is going to slide straight to socialism, into communism.
Since it seems that individuals and corporations have abandoned personal responsibility and come crying to the government to pull them out of the morass, our government will be holding us by the neck as "they" segue into the role of "Big Brother," who will have control over every aspect of our lives.
Maybe people don't have enough common sense for capitalism to work in the long run anyway. Irrational get, buy, spend and "the hell with tomorrow" attitudes have led us to the brink of "1984" type society. It has happened with our eyes wide shut.

Return to yesteryear, so many countries of Socialists and Marxists, back when our government allowed military snipers to neutralize (cause to assume room temperature) to the bad guys running these regimes!!!!!

For a long time, I've felt that a democratic (republic) government is highly overrated. Corporate maleficence is its undoing. Greed and stupidity reign. Under the leadership of a good "autocrat", a country can be managed much better as a whole, not a sum of its parts. But what do I know?

Greed is the name of the game but socialism is better than a depression that lasts l2 years, {I lived it} and I was a child and didn't have the stress that my mother and father had. Our diet was boiled eggs, fried potatoes and navy beans. It is also better than war. We aren't there yet hon.

Yup, corporate socialism, screw us, skim the profits and then ask for more? There's something wrong with this picture, the people that ripped us off get our money, while we, the ones that got screwed are left holding the bag and no bail out? Oh well lets do it again...
