Great insight. It's amazing that out of the millions
of people in the United States with smarts
we've managed to elect none of them, but put one
doofus after another at the helm. No wonder our ship
is sinking.
PS McCain scares me to death--I think he has incipient

Enjoyed this blog--all of it,
especially the part about Miss Florida and her
marbles! I don't have DSL either and dial-up is a
pain--I keep getting shut off in the middle of a blog,
the computer redials over and over..couldn't get on at all
Saturday.
I don't understand about the acquaintances--who wouldn't
want pool time and lunch??

Dear teal, that was poignant, and I wonder why those departed
come to us in dreams sometimes. My friend Shirley died 23 years
ago and occasionally, for no reason I dream of her, of the way she
laughed, and held a cigarette. These dreams are so real I wake up
thinking I smell cigarette smoke.

Great Post!! What are prison officials thinking of, letting
felons have computer access? (Not to mention conjugal visits,
being able to marry while incarcerated, and all kinds of
priviledges that they should forfeit when convicted.) I bet that
beast Peterson will have women clamoring over him. Can't
Lacy's family get the prison to stop allowing him to use her photos?

Teal, this letter sounds absolutely authentic to me,
no question about it. It took someone on the ground with
scorpions biting his ass to write that. And his description
of the country and the warring tribes was gut true, and the
reason they will never give up. Fighting is all they know.
Bush and his democracy plan is ludicrous with people that
backward. Is there any way to read more of this soldier's
letters?
