The only reason I don't cancel my HBO package on Direct TV is so I can watch Bill Maher ever Friday night and reruns during the week

I know whereof you speak regarding b.i.l. I've said before that my daughter
is married to one of those foam at the mouthers who keeps her dependent on him, and because of his control, has alienated my daughter from me==he likes to keep her to himself.I won't allow him to come on my property and he won't allow her to visit me alone. Anyway....
Agree with you on Palin..horrifying to think when McCain croaks SHE might be president--just another reason not to vote for him (wouldn't have anyway.)
Hope your Cascade eye cleared up--no problems?

Angie, I have often wondered why the US feels compelled to send
money to foreigh countries that then use these funds to buy weapons
to destroy us. It ridiculous. Giving handouts does not win hearts and
minds. I agree with you. We should keep that money to help our
own country first!

I love that photo on this post!
And you're a housecleaning whiz, I admire that. I try to keep things dusted, but by the next day things are dusty again. As for the financial
mess, some people are on edge--I asked my pharmacist what he thought of
the bailout plan, and he exploded! Lot of pent up anger there.

Evangelical my eye. White trash more like it. But you know guys who detested Hillary just roll over drooling for Palin--she's the kind of
woman that appeals to men.

Oooohhh, that b.i.l. is a piece of work. I watched part of the so called debate, and thought Palin was a dumb blonde in Mom drag. The thought of her
possibly being in the White House if Mccain should kick the bucket gives me goosebumps.

Wow! You'd have to have good arms (no flab underneath) and a
good neck (no turkey neck) to wear that. That leaves me out, Ha Ha!

Sophie Tucker on drugs,
PS I didn't realize the Little Black Dress was introduced by
Coco Chanel, until I saw the movie.

Karen, sorry about your computer problems, I know what your mean
with the aggravation--hope all is squared away now? When this old one of mine gives out, I might never get another.
I'm fine now, thanks for asking..

There used to be a tour boat that left from Biloxi, on the Coast,
and took tourists out to Ship Island. I took that boat once, and
the motion of the up and down rocking movement had me so seasick
I never it again, but some folks seem immune to seasickness.

Once again, mealy mouthed politicians saying what they think
the public wants to hear instead of being true to their own
standards.

Hope you are feeling more chipper by the time you read this.
I've been dealing with neck pain/pinched nerves for over two
years. Physical therapy helped, but it came back. Sometimes
I feel like if I could get someone to yank on my arm (traction
of a sort) it'd get better. A shot of Celestone helped more than
anything--it relieves inflammation for a few weeks.
Comment on The Week That Was - Aug 17, 2008 8:37 AM ()
Edward's affair is why I would question his judgement--because
he was touting he was a family man but while his wife was battling
breast cancer, he was hypocritically schnozzing another woman.
A man who would be so sneaky would do other underhanded things,
doncha think? PS His perfectly coifed and syled hair is an ego
thing--he thinks he's so cute.
