Yesterday I sat at home and waited all day for a repairman to come work on an air conditioner still under warranty. I bought this Crosley brand air conditioner in late August last year for $500 and had it installed for another $100. It worked for about five weeks, then in early October it stopped putting out cold air after making a loud SNAP/PING sound.
I didn't bother calling the place I bought it from until this Spring, knowing summer will soon be here. I mean it's been in the 80's here (even as the Northeast is having snow and sleet.)
Well the frickin' repairman who was supposed to show up between one and five pm never showed. I made calls and found out he said he tried to call me (I was on the dial up computer so he got a busy signal.) If a repairman is supposed to show up, and I haven't cancelled the visit, and my phone is busy, doesn't that tell him I'M HOME. I'M WAITING.
I lost my temper like I haven't done in a long time. It just burned me up. I broke another appointment to stay here and WAIT.
I went to Walmart to get away for a while. The drive was beautiful, flowers blooming every where, 82 degrees, breezy, everyone was friendly, I looked at the herbs in the plant dept. and went home at dark. But I'm still burned about that d*mn no show repairman.
