A lot of people think this electronic age has made communication skills worse. I guess for the younger generation who never had to hand write letters or actually pick up the phone to make plans that can be considered true. But for me, who has multiple friends in various cities, it is a welcome addition to the world of communication.
Today was a rough day and it was nice to catch up with an old pal via the internet and share some sorrows and laughs from the past. I probably wouldn't have picked up the phone and called this person to talk, but seeing them online and starting a chat made me feel a bit better. So, tonight I will be thankful for this "other" form of communication.
