This morning was the annual cleanup day at the multi-use building we use as a dojo. There is an adjacent building that we don't use that was part of the cleanup too. The people from our Shorinji Kempo class did most of the cleanup of the dojo, which was cleaning but also doing some repair work to the folding tables that the other groups use. I didn't take any tools, because I didn't know what was involved on cleanup day, but went home for our drill and such. It was basic repair stuff for the tables and I felt good being useful fixing them.
After the cleanup, we had class and I felt like a klutz again.
It's okay to not be great at something when it's relatively new. Not every ballerina dances on toe shoes the first year out. In fact, most never do.
Your teacher may be a klutz at something else.
