This is the view of the house as it's approached from the parking area.

The back door, up close.

We weren't supposed to take pictures inside, so I only have one of the dining room. It's hard to see, but the room is one of several in the house with a painted ceiling. They don't have complex moldings on the ceilings, but have painted them to look like they are.

The tour ended at the front entry.

After the tour, we went across the street and up on the Mississippi River levee to get a view of the front of the house.

Before flood in 1927 and the following construction of the new levee, the front gardens were an extensive and formal.

Inside the house, they had this picture of the house before it was restored.

Out behind the house they had one of the slave cabins. It had two doors because two families lived in it, but four rooms and a common chimney.
