Billboards 2008108

Recently there was a billboard on 101 that read, "we're about to flip the internet on it's back". I wrote to the company and complained about it, because thousands of people see that example of bad grammar. They corrected it with a delete edit mark, which kind of fits their concept.

This week I noticed that company has a new one that includes, "it's alright to write on the back". Do I haaave to write to them again? Ugh. Why can't they figure out standard English usage and use "all right"? Maybe they learned "its".

I'm pedantic sometimes, but don't usually correct people, e.g., on blogs. Companies should know better.

The misuse/overuse of the apostrophe on plurals just drives me nuts, especially on something like a billboard. A lot of people don't know the difference.

I am lost, but nothing new.I know my grammar is not up to snuff.
But if you can read it and it is legible then let it be.

I am surprised that a PR firm like that would be so loose with grammatical errors like that.
