Most Popular Blogs Today??

Every so often I glance at mybloggers's so-called "Most Popular Blogs Today" and I noticed that the list appears somewhat stagnant and then I noticed bloggers names that I hadn't seen post for some time. So I looked at the top twenty:
#3 My Wild Dreams/Redimpala - just 3 posts during Oct.
#9 Children Allergy Clinic Online/wido25 - last post was 2-8-08
#13 Another Metamorphosis/febreze - last post was 12-24-11
#15 American Graffiti Forever/Anniel - no posts since last July
#17 Amstrong Sembiring/Kamparta - last post was 3-19-08
#18 News from Mississippi/Susil - last post was 5-27-12
#20 Southern Sands/cindy - last post was 5-24-12
At that point on the list, I stopped checking. I'm sure there are a lot more similar examples of bloggers who rarely blog who remain high on this pointless list.
Perhaps we should petition Eddie for a new, more up-to-date list, such as maybe "Bloggers with Bluest Eyes" or "Most Hirsute Bloggers."
I'm sure Eddie would welcome more suggestions...

I really miss Susil. I guess her computer pooped out and she has decided not to replace it. Such a shame because she has so much talent.

FYI, I'm testing the waters at two other blog sites. If it weren't for you and a couple of others here at mybloggers, I'd be outahere. I'll let you know what I come up with. No Facebook or Twitter, however.

For a guy with screwed-up politics, Eddie does a fine job keeping mybloggers working! We get to see the new posts and the spam gets removed regularly, so we're getting what we need.

I am contemplating redoing the entire mybloggers system to make things better and to promote more growth. But I can tell you that these are the most popular based on the current day's visitors. The date the person last posted is not relevant.

If a user posted an article from a year ago (for example) that Google picked up in its search engine and a lot of people come in from Google to that page, then that blog will become popular. This is why the Popular Blogs Today list does not really change.
