Conferencing

Just to explain why I haven't posted in the last few days, I'm out of town at a conference that has kept me busy.  At night I've been too tired to think about posting anything.   I read a little flake out.  BTW, I'm reading the third volume (finally out) of The Last Lion, Churchill's biography started by William Manchester and completed by Paul Reid.  It is fascinating and well-written.

Pralines and cream will make any place fun and Baskin Robbins is the best.

Baskin & Robbins always produces the same routine: look at all the flavors available, then order pralines 'n cream!

You ought to be presenting at that conference, not attending!

Where is "out of town" -- down the road a piece? Did it have a restaurant and a post office?

St. George, UT. The best night was when I got wings at "Wing Nutz" and followed that up with a stop at Baskin/Robbins for pralines'n cream. I was in 7th or 8th heaven...

I just read "That Woman" about Wallis Simpson. Churchill said she had a calming effect on the Duke of Windsor; that when she was around he 'didn't act so sick and harassed.' (A lot of people agreed that he was several bricks short of a load.)

The Duke was a Nazi sympathizer who didn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

You're out of town? That's news right there! I'm guessing it's not too far from home.

St. George, a two hour drive. Four nights in a "hotel" to avoid spending 4 hrs a day driving back'n forth. Eight hours a day being taught stuff I already know, but for that I earn 20 of the 30 CLE hrs I need each year.
