Iâ€™m as Dumb as a Box of Rocks.

My sister Irene has entered hospice care. I was apparently in denial. The Nurse would say â€œHospice Careâ€ and I would hear â€œPalliative Care.â€ She had somewhere between a week and three weeks to live. When I am with her, I keep repeating, â€œLove never dies.â€ â€œI shall love you forever.â€ And, â€œI carry your heart with me. I carry it in my heart.â€ She will be completely alive until she is completely dead. Then she will live on in the people she has touched in her life. Pray for a peaceful death for Irene, and courage for her extended family. Thank you.

I'm glad you showed us her picture. She has a stunning smile. Most of us are in the dark about health stuff, we don't realize what this or that marker/stage means.

Cherish the time you have with her. I hope she goes peacefully. My BIL died on their golden anniversary and my son on Christmas Eve. Whenever she goes it will not be easy.
