Only the good news from now on. I feel refreshed and invigorated thanks to my working vacation, the arrival of spring, playing golf, spreading cow manure in my garden (yes, that felt good!), and getting a positive health report yesterday.

I had a physical follow-up mostly concerning my elevated blood pressure. Since I started hydrochlorothiazide (very low dosage) 3 weeks ago, my b/p has dropped 20 and 10 points (diastolic and systolic resp.). Maybe it was the combination of all of the above. Anyway it's good news.

My third oldest daughter, age 30, informed me she's pregnant with their first child. That brought tears to my eyes. They'll make great parents. That'll make three grandchildren, but the other two are in Honduras, so I don't get to see much of them. Besides, they're brats.

My second oldest daughter sent me a audio of her singing a solo in her church choir, and I was blown away! I couldn't believe it was her. She sounded like a black soul singer (she's married to a black guy). She's got loads of musical talent (piano), but I didn't know she could belt out a spiritual! Mercy. I asked myself, who is this daughter of mine? You think you know your kids, but really, you don't.

And finally, NCAA basketball!! Go Purdue and Butler!
