We have Ft. Hood, Afghanistan, health care bill, the recession, etc., but I'm not going to write about the depressing news.
Instead: My house has been invaded by flies and ladybugs with this unseasonable warm (70's) weather we've been experiencing.
Last night, while I was watching TV and reading, a huge fly began buzzing around the living room. It just about drove me crazy dive bombing my light next to the recliner. It was noisy and ugly and wouldn't stay put (alit? alight?). I probably picked up my fly swatter a hundred times. In fact, my shoulder is sore from "air swatting". He continued to elude me. FINALLY, I got him. Exhausted, I slept well last night.
Ladybugs are everywhere and in everything. The little buggers bite, you know. And have you ever eaten one? They are most distasteful! I have to watch every bite, but I missed one in my oatmeal this morning. Yuck.
Another warm day forecast today, so I'll be "en guard" for battling the pesky invaders. Hope you all have a good one.
