Just popping in here for a few minutes. Remember my friend who's Father died last month? Well she asked me if I would like to go house hunting with her. For the past few weeks we have looked at every house on the real estate market in the town of Ridgecrest (this is where she lives). She found one that she liked and made an offer on it and they turned her down flat and did not put in a counter offer..WTH? Usually, the seller would come back with a counter offer, but no the real estate agent called her agent and said asking price is the lowest they will go on the house.
Guess what my friend did? She told them no, she would not pay that price and walked away. HA, that showed them, besides it was an all cash offer, I mean come on if someone were to offer Paul and I 10% less than the value of our home with an all cash offer we would jump.

We did more looking around and found yet another house, but this one had some land, a lot of land. She made another offer, and low and behold the seller accepted her offer!! Now that is more like it.

She asked for a 15 day escrow since the house was vacant and got it a few days ago. She and her husband and two boys and her baby girl are all moved in to their new house and they do not have a mortgage. Which in these days is a really good thing.

I am still very pregnant, and my baby is kicking like soccer player mostly at night when I am trying to get to sleep. I am still working from home a couple times a week which is nice, but in early December I will take my maternity leave to await the arrival of my nocturnal baby. I really hope it is a boy, but another girl will be nice too.
