Mark and I used to do the airport thingy. I wouldn't/couldn't sleep the night before he was coming in and I would literally be sick to my stomach with butterflies as he'd come through the gate.... ahhhhh.... love those memories.
“the piece of pork in a can of pork and beans is not good eating†Damn... that's my husband's favorite part.
I'm not sure what happened between you and your parents, but you'll find a way to smooth it over I'm sure. My house is 20 minutes from the Ambassador bridge, but I haven't been to Canada in years now. Mark and I used to go to Casino Windsor every now and again, but since they opened up a slew of casinos in downtown Detroit, and are requiring passports (which we don't have), we just haven't been across the border.
All the work is worth it. Love is worth it.
Kelli, it makes me so grateful and thankful for my wonderful childhood. I don't know what you've gone through, but you come off as a beautiful soul and loving mother/person through your posts.
"This is just another golden opportunity to keep your freaking mouth shut!" I'm pretty sure my husband is not familiar with this phrase. I'll bring his attention to it tonight at dinner,
Oh Boy, it's always something.
Aw Gwen, how sad. I'm so sorry friend.
Dang Mary, You are one busy busy lady.
As a Mom, I know I've been stretched to the limit of patience at times with my kids. I could never ever hurt them. Some people snap.
Stay away from the media if possible.
Oink OINK~!
Oh Gosh, what a great post! Stupid Vonage! We have it too. Everytime our cable goes out, so does our phone. We finally got a tech over recently to "fix" the cable which in turn has produced fewer problems with vonage. I could care less if I ever had a land line again. Our entire family has cell phones anyway.... maybe time to do away with it.
I'm getting very little in the way of beefsteak tomatoes. My husband picked a couple. They were not very big and need day or two on the windowsill to completely ripen. So I'll be curious to see how they taste. We are getting lots (too many now) roma's and cherry tomato's. The neighbors, my husbands co-workers and my sister/sister-in-laws are digging us right now for the free veggies,
I really enjoy the way The Olympics draws us as a family to the TV. It's great to see! Have a super duper week.
"You find all these lovely things that you can recreate into some other form of crap" Ain't that the truth?
