"What is an arraignment?"
An arraignment is a hearing where a defendant is advised of the formal charges filed by the State and allowed to enter a plea as to the charges. If you have an attorney, he may enter a written plea in your behalf and waive your appearance at the arraignment. If not, you must appear. Be sure to check with your attorney as to whether you must appear. At the arraignment, a trial date and possibly a status conference date will be set.

The TV reporter wants me to be there to do an interview with me.I explained to him that I don't want to be seen on TV.We are trying to protect my Granddaughters identity.I don't even think the sexual predator will be there.I'm sure his Public Defender will be there for him or it will be videotaped, since he is being held at a different facility.
I have mixed feelings on what to do.Does anyone have any suggestions?Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated.
XOXO Laurie
