Friday night was Movie Night with Radar and CK. We saw Adam Corrola's movie, The Hammer. It was an entertaining little movie. Perhaps not really a big theatrical release but it was a great little tale of a carpenter who gives his boxing career another shot.
Saturday CK, E, HW and I went for a 7 mile hike in Malibu Creek State Park and saw what's left of the M*A*S*H set (let's just say there's not much left), a few of the locations used for the original Planet of the Apes, a rattle snake, ducks, geese, and lots of beautiful hills and creeks.
It was lovely. E and I challenged ourselves with a few jogs on the trails ("heart spikes" as we jokingly called them). I'm about to sign up for a charity 10k that will be in August that Radar talked me into. I'll let you know more after I sign up ... in case anyone wants to donate ... LOL! It was my glutes that hurt more than my legs again this time. I better have one heck of a bottom after all this!

I went home to relax on Saturday evening and got a call from TBD to go to a superhero costume party. An hour's notice - no costumes - no ideas. So I threw on my Chinese Lace dress again with chopsticks in my hair and I was Chopstick Assassin Girl. In hindsight, I should have worn my workout clothes with my high heeled boots and gone as Super Weight Loss Girl. LOL
I was a little surprised that TBD invited me to go out with his friends so of course I had to go as we rarely go out. I did know a few of the people at the party through our mutual friend, Sassee. It was great meeting a few more of Sassee's friends that I'd heard so much about.
TBD was happy that I mingled at the party... of course that just shows that he really doesn't know anything about me. I guess he thought I would cling to him all night. If I did that, I wouldn't have enjoyed jumping in the bouncy castle with "Wonderwoman". LOL!
Later he told me that he invited me because he realized we won't be seeing each other for a couple weeks as he's busy with other projects for work and a camping trip with friends.
Sunday morning I begrudgingly got out of bed and hit a spin class. My legs were a little tired from lack of sleep and hiking the day before. But well worth it. I feel much better getting my cardio on.
Now, I've got to start researching a training schedule for 10k's.
