A Weekend with Sb, Hw and My Bf
This past weekend was great cause I got to meet SB and hang out with Hawkwoman. HW and I drove out to LAX to catch up with SB during her 3 hour layover in LA. We enjoyed drinks and food at the strange diner, Encounters (the former control tower at LAX converted into a bar and restaurant with a Jetson-esque theme).
SB is as delightful and witty in person as she is in her posts. It's too bad she lives so far away that we can't make a habit of hanging out together.
I also got to see the needier side of my BF this weekend. Thom isn't usually needy but there was a slight pout in his voice on Friday when he asked about my girls' night on Saturday. Thom is a creature of habit and our habit is to spend Saturday night together. I told him I would come over to his place late Saturday and we could spend more time on Sunday together which we did.
There's another camping trip this coming weekend that he may or may not go on. It'll all depend on carpooling as this one is 5 hours away. This time it's in the woods near a stream... instead of the blazing hot desert. So I may join him a day later or I may not see him at all. Which is likely the source of him feeling a little needy. Or it's because he knows I've been so blue.
He's a good man... not a perfect one, but a good one.
