There's No Place like Home
Last night was so nice. I left work and headed to my favorite dirt track in the tree lined park and ran a total of three and a half miles. I ran the first mile in 9 min 28 sec followed by a walking break. I ran the second mile in 8 min 30 sec. I walked to my car to grab some water and realized I still had about 25 minutes to kill before my girlfriends MJ and Keri were going to join me for a walk around the track.
So I jogged a little slower for a mile and a half before running up to MJ on the loop. We soon met up with Keri and walked about 2-3 miles talking the whole time.
MJ decided that she needs to spend more time with her friends being fit rather than eating breakfasts... plus walking is free. I think she's right. I love having exercise buddies. I still haven't found a way for TBD and I to do fit activities together but I'm hoping once I find a bike that we can go on bike rides. And especially on one of the midnight rides around LA. Midnight... 10pm... whatever. LOL
After leaving the park, I headed straight home and hung out with my kitty cats, Rigby and Sarge. Both slept on the bed with me all night which they don't normally do. Rigby woke me up at 2am with her polite tap of the paw and a quiet meow. Usually she waits till 5am and only about once a week. LOL And Sarge sat on my chest about five times compared to the normal once in the morning.
They definitely missed me as much as I missed them. Sarge bit me harder than normal too. He's a love biter. He jumped on my lap while I was on the toilet and bit me on the chin pretty hard. I think that was his way of telling me that he loves me but not to leave him again that long. LOL
Tonight I have to catch up on my household chores. It's so nice to be home again with my kitty cats (and no dogs in sight). ahhhhhhhhhh...
