First, my parents are on their way in the 20 year old Cadillac that I've been driving the last 7 years. So far so good. They are only planning one fun stop along the way, in Memphis. How perfect is that? A classic old Caddy in Memphis?!
I am lovin' the Vibe! In fact I'm checking out various options to make it ipod compatible so I can love it even more. LOL I decided against buying a fancy-schmancy new stereo as I don't need to draw attention to any desperate individuals. Crime has gone up and I would like to believe that the factory stereo is undesirable.
I can have the ipod and cables safely tucked into a small console under the radio and gear shift. Making it look plain and boring with no wires showing.
(sorry, this is probably boring)
This weekend I'm off to a convention to meet several of my on-line weight loss buddies. Jackie, Mary and I are driving down together. I am so very excited about this. I only wish I could fully participate in the morning group fun run.
I've been swimming three times a week for two weeks. It's an okay activity. I ran into two of my runner girls this morning. It made me sad that I wasn't running with them.
I did buy some new running shoes in anticipation. I'm wearing them to the gym to start breaking them in. I also picked up hiking boots, a camel-back that holds 1.5 liters of water, a straw cowboy hat, and a first aid kit for my Grand Canyon hike.
My refund is going quick! Luckily my brother is paying for the trip and has already purchased my flights.
I have to say that I am a rather lucky girl, I have a new car, a new bike, new shoes, a job, a paid vacation, loving family, a sweet boyfriend, two adorable kitty cats, and getting to meet SB in a month!
... what's a tweaked tendon upon all of that? I believe that will heal in no time.
