Chilling Motivation
My next Half Marathon is 39 days away and I'm still in training mode. The Adventure Girls were finally ready to get back to training after one had recovered from a cold. So we met at 7am to run one of the LA trails. I mentioned the beach run and KM was interested. So maybe I'll have a Christmas running buddy.
It's been really cold in LA, not as cold as other parts of the world but for the first time in my 12 years of living in the city of angels, I scrapped a thin layer of ice off my windshield this morning. It's been tough for me to be motivated to run in the cold mornings. Especially getting out of my warm bed to face the cold pre-dawn training runs.
I missed one training run last week because of the rain. I have a lot more respect for runners who live in colder regions and keep with it rain, snow or shine.
I'm just crossing fingers for no Christmas Rain in LA. I need to run to justify eating pizza and drinking beer. LOL
