I tried my best not to stress over my recent car repair but it's one of my buttons.
I've never in my life purchased a car and never had a new one. Due to my finances my father usually gives me his hand me down cars. The recent hand me down is an '89 Caddy. It drives beautifully but parking it is a bitch. (I mean finding a space large enough is a bitch, I'm actually very skilled at parallel parking that beast.)
I had to take it into the shop yesterday because it started to idle funny. Well, $987 later my car got an oil change, a tune up, new engine mounts, new ignition wires, new distributor cap and spark plugs. Ugh!
breathe in ... breathe out . . . It's still cheaper than a car payment. And I hold the title to that ole boat. Not to mention it beats using public transportation. I thought of Kristy today when I was with the masses pushing past each other to be the first at the escalator to the bus transfer area.
I don't actually mind taking the Metro train and do so often but to commute to work means taking a train and then a bus. I really, really don't like the bus. It also takes twice as long for me to get to work using public transportation.
I will be so happy to get my Caddy back later today.
