Over the weekend I did more research about fitness than I did actual fitness. I hit the local running store and bought my new running buddy, Mace. LOL With the daylight hours shrinking and my marathon approaching, I'm faced with running early in the morning in my urban environment. So to be on the safe side (after several people told me to be cautious running in the park in my hood) I got some runners friendly pepper spray that straps to my hand.
I also hit four bike shops to find my first bike in two decades. I tested the fit of six bikes in the brand I can get a discount on and liked one:
I also bought my helmet after testing out several to find the right fit and style. I will say that most of the women's helmets are very unattractive. At least the ones that I encountered and ended up with something more sleek and black.
I've placed my order for the bike and am so bike ready!
