So, from what I have read everyone has had a great Turkey Day. I know I did. Pat cooked a 25lb Butterball, and made just about every side dish known to man. The fridge is full to capacity with leftovers, that Jester and I will polish off in the next few days.
Black Friday! From what I have read we are all in agreement that those sales are for idiots. No offense! But, I am not going to wait in line all night to save a little dough. OK sometimes it can be a few hundred, but still, I am too old for that stuff anymore.
SNOW!!
Yeah, this time of year with the turkey and fall weather setting in, I miss living in Indiana. There was a old ritual that I know Grumpy probably remembers. When the snow starts to fly, it's time to get the Toro out, and clean the drive and sidewalks. If you don't it will snow again then you have a double layer of snow to deal with. And on top of that, it can warm up enough to do a slight thaw, but then freeze again and what will that turn into??? Yep ICE! Then you have a real pain in the back coming.
Here is a little video of some heavy duty snow blower in action, from the guys jacket I would say he is from upstate New York. My Toro was a little smaller but did the job. It was actually kind of relaxing for me, just you the machine and all that snow. it was kind of pretty too, all the fresh fallen snow.
