Good afternoon everyone.

If you remember my last post, I had a follow-up visit with the retina specialist Thursday morning.

I said that I was expecting one of the two predictions listed below,,


1. He will look at my eye, and say the scar tissue has stopped forming or slowed down forming, and to come back in two weeks or so,,,,

or

2. The scar tissue is continuing to grow, and you need another operation and I want to do it Monday.

Well I was right, one of them was the correct answer.
The answer is, #1 with a little additional information. The scar tissue has slowed down, but it is pulling on the retina and I will need another surgery.
It is not critical to do it right away, but I will need to have it done. He said to come back in two weeks and see how it is doing, that way it will give the scar tissue more time to "mature" and it will come out easier. I asked if it was like when a scab hardens and will come off intact, and he said "just about like that."

So I go back April 17th, and we will probably schedule the surgery then.

Tomorrow Pat and I will be going up to the flying field for one of our annual events, "The Spring Fling." It is a members only event. Last year we had a catfish fry, this year it is Italian, Spaghetti, Meatballs, and bread. There will be flying and time to visit and enjoy the day. I will post some pictures Sunday.
