Eye Doctor Visit Today

Today was my second checkup since the May 5th operation. I was not looking forward to it too much. In the past it was the same old story, "The scar tissue is coming back, and is pulling on the retina, and it will detach and we need to operate again."
So I sat there waiting for the bad news, even Pat could tell I was pretty down about it all.
But, the pressure in the eye is normal thanks to the new eye drops, and the doctor put the microscope and light on the eye and we did the "look left, right, up and down" deal, and he said, every thing looks "GREAT"!
The retina is completely attached, and there is no scar tissue! My next visit is in a month. July 17th.
Many of you know that I love Google Earth, I have found many location in Vietnam that I was at. Well when "visiting" Vietnam again last night on Google, I discovered that they have replaced some of the images and there are much better shots of one of the first places I was stationed. Tay Ninh. See the new photos below.

A little closer shows the runway, I was in the round area to the right.
Close up of my area.

This last picture is really something, I can see where the bunkers where, the roads I walked down, and even one building that I recognize as being there when I was almost 40 years ago. I will do some doctoring up and post a picture with captions on it later.
