Computer Back from the Shop

I finally have my computer back.  As it turns out, the hard drive was fine. I just needed a new keyboard.  I am so glad that it was not the hard drive.
I didn't have anything backed up, so I would have lost everything.  Of course, aside from my tax return, I don't really have anything in here that was that valuable.  And I have a hard copy of my tax return.  Best Buy wanted $100 dollars to back up my computer; I said "Thanks...but no thanks."
I have the discs for Explorer 7, but it would have been a pain to have to reformat everything.  I guess I will get out my back-up disc and start using it.  I am so bad about those kinds of things.
I am settled except for hanging a few pictures in the bedroom.  I ran out of wall hangers for pictures, so I will have to wait until I can remember to pick up some.
I have started back exercising each day.  It is so nice to have an exercise room handy.  The weight had begun to creep back up again.  I have a target I want to reach; but we shall see if I have enough will power to get there.  My biggest weakness is sweets.  I dearly love anything sweet.  I work out each morning about 6:30, so I am through by 7:30 at the latest.
That's about it for now....later

At least your "absence" wasn't due to family problems. I have a question: being from Oklahoma, who do you root for in the World Series? Texas?

Yes, I'm pulling for Texas.

Get you one of those USB memory sticks, a big one that'll hold all your files and just copy your documents folder over there on a regular basis. Easier than trying to mess with CD-ROM backups. If you do a lot of emailing you should copy over the file that holds your emails, too.

Yes, that is what my kids use, so I think you are right. It is what I need.

I know! I think one of the grandchildren may have spilled something while using my computer. The geekster said there was residue on the underneath side of the keys.

Good ting your computer was in the shop--your 'friend' at the other place started all kinds of drama and of course her latest blog tells how innocent she is You miss all the fun!

So when is the house warming party???

I read a few posts over on the other site. I gathered that all hell had erupted over there again. Just as well I wasn't around. I probably would not have been able to resist getting in the middle of the fray.
