I am also bipolar and enjoy your blogs very much. I know exactly what you mean about shuffling thoughts - I think of them as "jumping". You start a thought and get about half-way through, then jump to another thought. Like you, I suddenly recognize what I'm doing, then try to calm my thoughts.
