With Google, that is... a SCAM in the highest order! Don't know how it happened, but for the past 3 months, they have gotten into my credit union to deduct $50!

Do NOT casually inquire or link onto anything that is Google-related . . . b/c that is the ONLY way I can think of where hackers got into my account to begin withdrawing.

Had to zero out my account, close it down, and worse - file an affadavit that will require a notary before they (honored credit union of 20+ years) take care of "matters".

Grrr! GAH! This being Good Friday, will refrain from being more curt!

There are so many ads on Google that are nothing but scams. I wish they would be more selective in their choice of advertisers.

Don't ever use the forward button, especially with spam, Utube videos or anything containing an .EXE file. If you ever purchase anything on the web, make sure it has a Verisign secure link before you do. Also, delete your browser cache/cookies every time you have been online. You can set your preferences to do it automatically.

I would think that Google would do a better job of self-policing. That's too bad.

My husband and I joined Lifelock. I don't know if they protect against things like that or not, but the company has a million dollar insurance on each participant and will handle all the work in straightening out accounts.

my friend sent me an email that had been forwarded many times already. what it bole down to was spy bot being placed on computers to tracks activity. checks were promised and such for allowing the tracking...blah, blah blah. I told him to never forward such crap to me that its all a scam. They supposedly were google related....it was all a scam. maybe they got you like that somehow.
