A few months ago, I bought 4 plants @ $6.97 apiece. They were supposed to be "drought" tolerant...
So I watered them once I transplanted them into the ground, which is made up of very dense soil, proceeding to water them once a week.
They were slowly dying. Yesterday, went to Home Depot to look over their selection. There was a whole section of these exact samples but 3 times the size and for a dollar more!
Bought 4, deciding that the previous 4 would be infirmed. Having read extensively on this variety, I knew they were hardy. What I DIDN'T know was that they needed more care.
Today, looking at the new grasses . . . is lovely. A couple of the tenants know that I've tended to the landscaping, so they donated money for my efforts. It really feels great to enhance the landscaping, unbeknownst to the man who owns this place.
