Thanksgiving Evening

Had such a wonderful day - youngest son brought his grill down and did wonderful rib eye steaks. They were so good and tender and the rest of the food was great also.

Later went over to 1st grandson Hopkins' to see the new 1st greatgrandoson Hopkins and all. The house was full of people and everyone was having a great time. I held Preston and he is so cute. I would say pretty, but few new borns can be called pretty. (Don't tell the parent I said that.) I would love to take him for a few days and let the parents rest. He sleeps days and stays up all night. Didn't open his eyes the whole time I was there. They are about exhausted.

I am beginning to feel a little better. The MRI showed no damage to my neck and I think they said something about the lower spin, where I already had an injury. I think it is a bit worse. So all in all, I came out great. Still have lots of pain from the fall, but hope that too will pass.

My youngest son flushed the commode in the guest bathroom and the handle broke. The only place open was Wal-mart and what they had didn't fit. So he took twine and fixed it where she could flush until I got it repaired. I might just put in a new commode, one that is chair-heighth. I think it would be easier on her to get up anyway. That can be her Christmas present. Ha!!! I bad~!!!

I'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving Day and you got to hold the new baby. New babies are so nice, except when they don't sleep at night. Glad to hear that you didn't have any big damage to your back. I guess you just need some time for it to heal itself. Annie :o)

Not a bad Christmas present, really. Those taller commodes are a blessing for someone with arthritis in their knees and such. You can put a big bow on it when it's installed.
