Yesterday as I was sitting in my back yard, I thought I saw a cardinal pair. But on closer view -they came and sat on the patio with me - I don't know what kind of birds they were. They were shaped like cardinals, with some red feathers, but some a deep greenish color on the feathers toward their tails. Could they be young birds? I know there is a nest just behind my fence. They are not afraid of me at all, and we had a good visit. Even the dogs didn't spook them. The male was a deeper red and had a crest on his head.

I took pictures with my phone and hope to learn how to download them to my computer.

Have a good Memorial Day week-end. I will be thinking of all my loved ones who have gone on before me.
