Well today is run around day- great fun! I have to get the kids up and dressed-fed and off to school. Some mornings I really wish my son went to the same school district - it would be much easier for me. I have to run "K" down to the bus stop - jog up the hill and start the van and argue with "D" about everything right down to brushing his teeth! Then off to drive him to school- with gas prices in town @ $3.27 a gallon I am not enjoying the driving around! Today I have to run out of town for some things that we need - like some luggage for our trip! Who knew that I would ever need luggage! I am borrowing two bags for the kids and I need a few more! Ahhhhhh - I feel like this is my one and only shot at showing my children a good time on a real vacation. And my hair is turning gray- we are arguing about everything right now. Being poor and planning a expensive vacation does not mix. This is expensive for me - well filling the van up with gas is also expensive!
I was cleaning out the basement yesterday and came across a photo albulm that I thought was lost forever! I couldn't beleive my eyes - we all ran upstairs to check it out. The kids got a real kick out of seeing me as a child! Boy did "K" look just like me and "D" looked just like my older brother! It was too funny! I even had a picture of my with Goofy at Disney World- "K" has that in her bed right now! Oh childhood memories!
You'd think it would be cheap here.
