I actually read this article aloud to J, because you echoed his sentiments about all the same things that he complains about -- except you didn't mention people neglecting to signal, as if they're the only ones on the road. I was in line at the grocery store yesterday and when a new checkout opened, I told the woman in front of me that she should go ahead, and WOW!!, you'd think I just gave her a thousand dollars. She was unbelievably grateful and thanked me a dozen times. Pretty sad when common courtesy isn't so common.
I could never get bored with your pictures!
Poor puppers. I hope he keeps getting better.
Yikes. Sounds like some people will be celebrating their Christmas by candlelight, or visiting relatives.
Very interesting. Of course, I think I'd be a little freaked out to suddenly see bright red streets, unless someone told me first that it was beet juice.
Great post.
Great answers. I had to laugh at the subtle convenience of question 8.
What an interesting dream. I can appreciate your situation. On one hand it would totally suck to be laid off, and on the other hand, you're completely unhappy.... I wonder, which is the lesser of two evils? Change is scary, but it's also good... maybe no job would free you up to hit the pavement hard and give you a chance to discover that awesome new job that's waiting for you. *fingers crossed*
Too cute. I think that would be like my one cat... he's fascinated by the vacuum cleaner. He'd probably like to sit on top and supervise too. Of course, if we had a Roomba, I don't think we'd see our other kitty ever again. She's a 'fraidy cat.
Wow. What a heartbreaking story. So sorry to hear that.
Fabulous costumes! I've never had roasted chestnuts before... they sound quite tasty, the way you described them.
That's a lovely little tribute to your father. As for your question, is it wrong not to visit his grave site, IMHO, I'd say no. Your father will always be loved in your heart and treasured in your memories. He can't get much closer to you than that. An engraved headstone is just a headstone.... a marker for the final resting place of a physical shell. Your father isn't there, he is with you.
Can't wait to see the pictures. Mother Nature's handiwork in the desert sounds pretty amazing!
Beautiful pictures. What a picture perfect family!
