Roomba Cat

This video reminded me that I still need a Roomba. I've wanted one since I first heard about them. Does it seem to you as if I don't like vacuuming? You could be right. I find it to be very boring. I'm the type of person that goes over a piece of string ten times and then picks it up and stuffs it into the hose.

I wonder if they've improved the power longevity on the Roomba. As I recall, I didn't get the first ones because they held such a small charge. You could only go for so long and then it stopped to be recharged. At that rate, you might only be able to do one room at a time. You'd need the Roomba area controller (or whatever they're called). Then it would take you several days to vacuum your whole house. By the time you were finished, you'd have to start all over again. That's not too bad because you wouldn't have to do anything. Just sit and watch it.

BTW, about the video: Is it fair for a cat to have a Roomba and I not? I must look into Roombas again... immediately. Well, maybe after Christmas.

Ellie has an older model but she only uses the big vac once a month. The kids like to use it and watch its antics so there is no problem going from room to room. The new ones go back to their station and plug themselv es in. I want one too...Lucky Laura!!

Too cute. I think that would be like my one cat... he's fascinated by the vacuum cleaner. He'd probably like to sit on top and supervise too. Of course, if we had a Roomba, I don't think we'd see our other kitty ever again. She's a 'fraidy cat.

Of course you deserve a Roomba, whether the freaking cat has one or not! You made me laugh when you wrote about going over a string ten times and then giving up and jamming it in the hose. I do the SAME THING!
Great post, Sunny!

Elderjane says her DIL has a Roomba and it does a good job, but I suspect the best thing is to assign it to one room and leave it there, not have hopes for the whole house. We have one that is supposed to be for the garage, but we use it in the kitchen. Just got a FLOOR SCRUBBING ROOMBA but haven't tried it yet. Also got a GUTTER CLEANING iRobot by the same compnay (aka The Looj). It does your roof gutters, not the ones in front of your house. I felt funny calling it a Gutter Cleaning "Roomba" since it doesn't do rooms, so I guess it's a "Goomba." These were all gifts from casinos, not things we would go out and buy.

I want one too! But John likes to vacuum too much so he doesn't want me to get one. I think my bunnies might like to ride.
