MIL had several Drs appointments and tests this week. Her feet and legs have been swelling. When there were no parking places available due to flu shot day, I let her go inside by herself while I searched for a spot. It took forever to find one! When I finally got there, she was nowhere to be found!
I walked all over the place in search of her. Turns out she'd gone into the wrong building and arrived at her regular Doctor's office. It ended up being a good thing cuz he didn't like the results of the previous lab work that we'd done the day before. He ordered more tests.
While waiting for one of the tests we chatted with others in the waiting room. That's when I learned that it was going to rain on Monday. YIKES! I had a lot of stuff on my patio that I had to deal with before it rained. I've been spending the last couple of days hauling things to Goodwill, listing things on Craigslist, and tossing stuff into the garbage and recycle bins.
I didn't want to bother selling anything that was worth less than $40. Trying to sell things can take awhile so unless you're really hard up for money, sometimes it's not worth the time. Right now I need space... and time. I'm determined not to bring anything back into the house! So the overwhelming majority of it was hauled off, but not all.
I have a covered area behind the garage that would be a good protected landing spot if it wasn't filled to the brim with twigs for kindling. I decided to focus my attention on clearing this space, not only to store things that are up for sale, but so that I can eventually drag things out of the garage.
Curb ALERT! I filled a dozen or so boxes with twigs and put it out on the curb for people to pick up. It didn't take long for the first batch to disappear so I did it again. Now I'm about out of boxes and I'm only about half way through. Fearing that It'd rain before I got my project done I decided to check the weather.
Guess what? No rain. Sigh. That's OK. I feel good about what I've accomplished. I'm gonna keep going. Hopefully I'll be ready for when it does rain.
