Sods Law

This year has been an emotion roller coaster for all of us here in one way or another! One reason being my eldest son has liver problems. Not from any fault of his own, but from the Meningitis he had when he was 16 (2 years ago).

The disease has damaged his liver in a way that his billirubin levels are unstable and un-predictable, causing his body to be slow in cleaning his blood - leadingto Jaundice...amonst other things.

A twist to the case comes from the Army medical board; they were the ones who have "Officially Demanded" to find the 'Name, Cause and Cure' for his conditon before they can consider his employment in the army!

My son is hell bent to get in the army - will do what ever it takes. The Medical Board has put him on Medical hold *4 Times*, because each time his blood tests came back his billirubin levels were getting higher and higher! They were the ones who offically requested a 'Liver Specialist' to look at his case to sort this out once and for all!

As a mother I am feaking landed the Medical Board is on my side to get this problem sorted out once and for all, *but in my heart they're concern is only fo their own benefits, 'utilise my son for their own political purposes*!

... On the other hand I don't want my son to go in the Army. If he gets refused access it'll be because his liver is too damaged which pains me to even try to comprehend any of that! I'm damned either way. *Sue me for being selfish*

The appointent with the live specialist is tomorrow. I'm dreading it. :(
