The other day I was in the shower getting clean, where I often do a lot of my best thinking. I realized that if the state of RI ever gets around to allowing for same-sex marriage, I would like to have our ceremony at the library we just built here in town. There is a large meeting room that can easily seat 100, and there is also the beautiful riverwalk along the back that would be perfect for an outside wedding during the right time of year.
Besides being beautiful, I think it just seems like a great choice because of my ties to the library and the fact that it is really such a big part of the community that has been so supportive of us.
I figure we could have our reception at the hoity-toity restaurant in town. I would have loved to have had it at the Farm, the restaurant I worked at that closed. It is such a beautiful place to have such a reception.
I guess I am probably putting too much thought into all of this since there has been no sign that we will have a change of status when it comes to the possibility of having such a celebration. Still, it is really nice to dream.
