I am soooooo glad that I can't have any more kids!! There must be something in the water, because there are THREE more pregnant women!! Another one of my nieces, my BF's son's girlfriend, and a good friend of mine have all found out they are pregnant. And yes, that means I now have SEVEN blankets to make instead of four.
Still working on Shetland shawl, but that one is for the niece that is due at the end of February, so will put it aside for awhile while I get the blankets done for the girls that are due earlier.
The first baby shower is October 9, and luckily, that is the blanket I already have done (the multicolored boucle blanket I posted a few weeks ago). I now have that one blocked and wrapped and ready to go.
The other blanket I have done (the one that ended up diamond shaped) is for a lady who already has kids, so no baby shower. I'll just drop that one off at her house when the baby comes. That way I have an excuse to see the newborn!!
The next due date is December 12, (my sister-in-law). But they have a 2 yr old girl that I wasn't able to make a blanket for due to being in college at the time. So I am making the blanket as a Christmas present, and am working on a sweater for girl. I picked up some more boucle for this blanket, LOVING how it is coming out. The yarn is self-striping, very cute!!
The rest are in the new year, and I also have slippers to make for presents, so will take a break after the current one is done. Thank god the slippers only take a day or so per pair, I have 10 pairs to make!!
