I picked up a set like that at the beginning of the year, not quite as fancy, just the Boye metal set, but had a great time setting them up. Had to explain to my BF just how much a single circular needle costs, he couldn't understand spending the money on them!!! They look great, love the colors!!
My father is a Baptist minister. Now that I've said that, I will also say that he was my neighbor's favorite person when "those" people came around. We were the first on the block, and apparently they don't communicate with each other. We were always the first door they knocked on, and he would invite them in for coffee, and quote scripture after scripture to them from the King James Bible, each of which countered their pamphlets, arguments, etc. that theirs was the "Right way to go" He would keep them for hours, and they never got to any of the other houses on our street!!!
And what's really funny is that if she would have fallen, the look would have been even worse!!
A very simple, but nice, tradition is one that we have done for years. As you sit with your full plate in front of you, before you start eating, everyone has to say something that they are thankful for. It only takes a minute or two, but it teaches the younger ones what the holiday is actually about, as well as reminding the adults that no matter how bad things may be at the moment, there are also blessings all around us.
Are you sure you grew up in Oklahoma? Sounds like Wisconsin to me!!!
I don't consider myself Republican or Democrat. I look at each candidate and see which one is closest to my ideals, morals, etc. There is great diversity within each party, so when it comes time to vote, there have been many times that I have voted for candidates from both parties on the same ballot. I think that, like you, many of them have chosen a party based on which one is closer, and most of them do not follow the party "ideals" to the letter.
Look at all the dresser space you have for your yarn!!
Too cute!! My cat does the same. I wish he would wait til I put it down, though!!
Yeah, like they said, saying something like that just gets our curiosity up and we HAVE to look
Thanks for the thousand words. I would have loved to see the actual pics, but this worked too!! I wish I didn't have a brown thumb! I have to depend on the local farmer's market to get fresh fruits and veggies!
I am lucky that my ex-husband's uncle is a mechanic. Also lucky that he doesn't hold the divorce against me like the rest of the family! I'm very grateful to have someone I trust to take my car to!
Gorgeous!! I am nowhere near ready to knit something this complicated. Mayby someday!
Large corporations always seem to respond to complaints in this manner. I don't know if it's because they get so many, but still want to respond so they seem personal, but they just don't get that it does seem to make them sound robotic. Can't wait to see the picture of the shawl!
My 15 year old told me to send these to you. Because he has the same DRUG problem that the article talks about!!
