Ok, so my job in general doesn't suck, but the miscommunication is awful.
A little background: I work in a group home taking care of 4 ladies with developmental disabilities. That part of my job I love. When it comes to management it is a different story.
Yesterday, around 5pm, I got a call from the call center asking me if I could work from 8am-2pm so that one of my co-workers can go train in at another house. My BF's hours have been cut at work, so of course I said yes. I get to work at 8am this morning, only to find out that the lady I was supposed to be covering for did not want to train at this other house, that she had told them that, and that they were supposed to call me to let me know that I didn't need to work. Well, they didn't. SO..I got up, took a shower, got dressed and drove 25 minutes FOR NOTHING!!!
I could have slept in, stayed in my jammies all day instead.
On another note, do all toddlers think there is an escape hatch in the bathroom? For some reason, my 2 & 3 year olds seem to think there is, otherwise I might be able to go by myself every once in a while!!
