Well first of all I'd like to give a shout out to both elderjane and troutbend. You ladies are wonderful!
Secondly, I went to an AMAZINGLY fun k9 nose workshop on Saturday morning - essentially it's having fun with your dog (or being a helper for someone else's dog) while the dog builds confidence and is allowed to do what dogs do best - sniff and smell! It was seriously a blast. My pal's hubby is going to start some classes - I am going to attempt to take the K-dawg to one of them! The problem is that it's on Saturdays and, well, free Saturdays are hard to come by.
Sadly, I had to leave the class a little early seeing as R and I really do need to find a place to live. That does kinda sorta take precedence in the grand scheme of things no? haha We looked at the apartments R wants to live in. They were GORGEOUS inside, for serious, but there was no grassy area's for the boys. There was a swamp and a narrow trail, but just not ideal for what I think they need... it's close to R's work but....
The search went on. On Sunday we looked at a bunch of places on our own since no Realtor was able to show us around in the morning... It was a good idea on our part, we ruled a bunch of places out. We actually got to go inside this one bedroom one bath cute house in an "old town" area... it had a nice large fenced in yard, but it was soooo old it just felt creepy, and R couldn't stand upright in a few places. It was built in 1912. I guess people really were shorter?
In the middle of house hunting we met up with some friends for a wine tasting. YUMMY! It was good stuff. Since we are moving further out to "DC's wine country" area, I think we might become club members at the winery we went to. It was delish! Anywho, on our adventures we drove by one townhouse that had lots of grassy areas and a small fenced in yard. We finally got to meet with a Realtor at about 5pm, so he took us to see the inside of the place. IT HAD A RED WALL! It's like fate. haha But seriously, it was cute. A little bigger than we need, but cheaper than what we have now with a small fenced in yard so I think we might go for it. I am trying to get R to move on it since, in all reality, we need to move our crap outta the condo within two weeks. We get married three weeks from this weekend. It's a crazy life!!!
Happy Monday peeps!!!
