Storm May Be a Blizzard ...

Two rolls of thundersnow before daylight! At 7 a.m. I think we had about 8 inches or more already. Can't push the back storm door open. Piling higher by the minute. Haven't seen much on the street (not plowed) except a few plow pickup trucks heading for business lots. It is a record Feb. for Tiffin snow. Toledo is inches from its new record. Windshield plastic blew off the car. Strong 35 mph sustained.

Front looks like a foot or more but the wind is drifting so it is hard to tell.

The Blade just announced that this recent snowfall pushed Toledo past a 1900 record to 26.0 inches for the month. Do you think we should send for the St. Bernard and the brandy?

Howling wind and thunder woke me up at 3 a.m. The cats and I cuddled watching the wind-whipped snow fly around the street lamps and my apartment parking lot lights, a virtual white-out. I fell back to sleep at 6 a.m. and dreamed of crocuses.

You're always welcome here but if you're like us, you don't leave your animals, and, of course, there are travel costs.

Almost everyone has broken snow records.

And the temperatures have been in the 80s all week down here--what we call perfect 'tourist weather'--warm during day, cool at night---come on down!

We dodged the proverbial bullet on this storm. I figured 4" max. Hard to tell with the drifting. Manageable and not paralyzing, thankfully.

Maybe 10 inches now.
Whiteouts.

I can't wait for this winter to be over with. I don't mind snow, but we have all had more than our fair share this winter.
