The mountain in foreground is called Round Mountain and it is in front of Mt. Whitney, tallest mountain in the continental US. Round Mountain is 11,180 feet above sea level.

S.B. - "MMX," which are the Roman Numerals for "2010." Next year is MMXI. I sign most of my paintings with Roman numerals. Easier to paint.

Oh I do like this - I know it is of The Sierra Mountains, but it does remind me of Snowdonia - it is a beautiful painting
